1. Available Grades at a Glance

Grade 2 (UNS R50400) — The Universal Default

Best for: Chemical processing, heat exchangers, marine, desalination, general corrosion service.

Why choose it: Best balance of corrosion resistance, formability, and weldability. The workhorse of Titanium Plate — 70% of all Titanium Plate orders are Gr2. Read our ASTM B265 specification guide for full technical details.

Stock status: [FILL: e.g. "Thickness 1-20mm in stock, widths 1000/1219/1500mm, lengths 2000/3000/6000mm"]

Grade 5 / Ti-6Al-4V (UNS R56400) — High Strength

Best for: Aerospace components, pressure vessels, high-strength structural parts, offshore, medical implants (ELI variant).

Why choose it: Tensile strength 895 MPa minimum (vs 345 MPa for Gr2). Same corrosion resistance as Gr2 with 2.5× the strength. Heavier and more expensive, but essential where weight savings and strength both matter.

Stock status: [FILL: e.g. "Thickness 3-50mm in stock, annealed condition, AMS 4911 available"]

Grade 7 (UNS R52400) — Pd-Enhanced Corrosion Resistance

Best for: Aggressive chemical environments, reducing acids, chloride-bearing services where Gr2 may be marginal.

Why choose it: Gr2 + 0.12–0.25% palladium. The Pd addition provides enhanced crevice and pitting corrosion resistance in hot brine, wet chlorine, and hypochlorite solutions. See our Grade 7 material guide for composition details.

Stock status: [FILL: e.g. "Thickness 2-12mm available, made-to-order for thicker"]

Grade 12 (UNS R53400) — Ti-0.3Mo-0.8Ni

Best for: High-temperature chemical service, sour gas (H₂S), reducing acid environments.

Why choose it: Intermediate strength between Gr2 and Gr5, with superior creep resistance and corrosion resistance in reducing acids. More cost-effective than Gr7 for many chemical applications.

Stock status: [FILL: e.g. "Thickness 3-20mm, made-to-order, 3-4 week lead time"]

8. Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What titanium plate grades do you stock?
We stock commercially pure Grade 2 (UNS R50400, baseline general-purpose), Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V (R56400, high strength), Grade 7 (R52400, Pd-enhanced corrosion resistance), and Grade 12 (R53400, Ti-0.3Mo-0.8Ni). Grade 2 and Grade 5 are available in the widest range of thicknesses and dimensions for immediate shipment. Custom grades (Gr1, Gr3, Gr4, Gr9) are available on request with 2–4 week lead time.
Q2: Can you supply both ASTM B265 and GB/T 3621 certification?
Yes. Our mill can issue dual-certification MTR covering both ASTM B265-20 and GB/T 3621-2022 on a single EN 10204 3.1 certificate. The MTR includes UNS designation, full heat chemistry, mechanical test results, and dimensional inspection. This allows buyers to use the material for both international projects (B265) and domestic Chinese specifications (GB/T 3621) without separate documentation.
Q3: What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ) for titanium plate?
For stock sizes in Grade 2 and Grade 5, MOQ is 1 piece (minimum 0.5㎡ or 50kg, whichever is greater). For non-stock custom dimensions, MOQ is typically 200kg per thickness. For Grade 7 and Grade 12, MOQ depends on available heat lot — contact us with your requirements. Sample pieces (100×100mm or A4 size) are available for material verification before full order.
Q4: Do you provide cut-to-length and processing services?
Yes. We provide shearing, plasma cutting, waterjet cutting, and laser cutting. Tolerances: sheared ±1.5mm, plasma ±2mm, waterjet ±0.2mm. Edge conditioning (deburring, grinding) and surface finishing (pickling, sandblasting, polishing) are available. For critical fit-up, we recommend waterjet cutting. All cut pieces are tagged with heat number for full traceability.
Q5: How do you package titanium plate for export?
Each plate is separated by polyethylene film or interleaving paper to prevent surface scratching. Bundles are strapped with steel bands, wrapped in waterproof plastic, and packed in plywood crates or steel-framed wooden boxes suitable for sea freight. Each crate is labeled with heat number, grade, dimensions, quantity, and gross/net weight. Moisture absorbers are included for long-sea shipments. Pallet dimensions comply with container loading requirements (20ft/40ft).
