Metric vs Inch — Read This Before Quoting

B338 OD tolerance (annealed): 25.4mm band ±0.127mm; 38.1–50.8mm band ±0.152mm; wall ±10% nominal. If your tube sheet is drilled to 25.4/31.75/50.8, tell us — we won't silently ship metric 25/32/50 into an inch drill.

A: Not exactly. B338 nominal is 25.4mm (±0.127). If your drawing says 25mm metric, tell us — we cut to the drill, not the habit.

Q2: 32mm stock — metric or inch?
A: Both handled. Metric 32mm and inch 31.75mm (1.25") are close but not identical; confirm tube-sheet bore before bundling.

Q3: 50mm — tube or pipe?
A: Either. HX bundle = B338 tube; pressure line = B861 seamless pipe SCH 10S/40S. PO must name it.

Q4: What wall for condenser retubing?
