Overview — A Capillary Tube Is Not "A Small Pipe"

When OD drops below 3mm, the game changes. It stops being about pressure rating alone and starts being about what touches the fluid: ID roughness, concentricity, end burr, dead volume, ion leaching. A 0.5mm titanium capillary in an HPLC line is closer to an optical part than to a heat-exchanger tube.
