Overview — A Capillary Tube Is Not "A Small Pipe"

When OD drops below 3mm, the game changes. It stops being about pressure rating alone and starts being about what touches the fluid: ID roughness, concentricity, end burr, dead volume, ion leaching. A 0.5mm titanium capillary in an HPLC line is closer to an optical part than to a heat-exchanger tube.

We keep Gr2/TA2 small-diameter seamless capillary on rotating stock — common ODs (0.5 / 0.8 / 1.0 / 1.5 / 2.0 / 3.0 / 4.0mm) pulled, cut, deburred, capped, certed. Not "all sizes forever in stock" — the sub-0.5mm and mirror-ID jobs are project-drawn, and we say so before the PI.
