Titanium Welding Wire & Industrial Wire Guide: ERTi Grades, Spool Sizes and Filler Selection
Titanium welding wire is not interchangeable across applications. The filler metal grade must match the base metal and the service environment, and lot traceability is mandatory for most fabrication codes. This guide explains how to specify titanium wire correctly and what stock is available for immediate dispatch.
Filler Wire Grades (AWS A5.16 / ASTM B863)

Industrial Wire (Non-Welding)
Beyond welding, titanium wire is used in:
- Medical wire for implants and surgical instruments
- Spectacle frame wire (shape memory and spring applications)
- Additive manufacturing feedstock (powder and wire DED processes)
- Mesh and filtration media
- Spring wire for aerospace and marine hardware
Size Range and Packaging
- Diameter: 0.5–8.0 mm
- Packaging: spools (precision layer wound), coils (bulk), straight cut lengths
- Surface: bright, pickled, or cleaned per welding requirement

Lot Traceability and Certification
Every spool or coil of welding wire is supplied with:
- Heat number and lot identification
- Chemical composition report
- MTC EN 10204 3.1
- Cleanliness certificate (for welding wire)
How to Select the Right Filler
Tell us three things:
- Base metal grade (e.g., Gr2, Gr5)
- Welding process (TIG, MIG, plasma)
- Service environment (seawater, chemical, high temp)
We match the filler grade and recommend spool weight. Example: Gr2 vessel in seawater service → ERTi-2, TIG, 5 kg spool.
