Grade Description

Gr18 Ti-3Al-2.5V-0.04~0.08Pd titanium wire is specified under ASTM B863. It is Gr9 near-alpha titanium alloy with trace palladium added. Gr9 alone has good low-temperature toughness but limited crevice corrosion resistance. Gr18 upgrades anti-crevice-corrosion property for marine chloride environment. Different from Gr16/Gr17 pure titanium base Pd alloys, Gr18 is alloyed titanium base, for subsea high pressure pipeline. Our Gr18 titanium wire is supplied to offshore oil and gas EPC projects in Mexico, Indonesia and Argentina.

Product Features

Our cold drawn Gr18 titanium alloy wire is stress relieved and pickled to eliminate surface oxide and residual stress. Every coil passes dimension inspection and chemical composition test to control Al, V and palladium content. Gr18 titanium wire is mainly used as welding filler wire and small structural wire for subsea pipelines and offshore corrosion-resistant components.
