What ASTM B338 Actually Covers

ASTM B338 = Seamless and Welded Titanium and Titanium Alloy Tubes for Condensers and Heat Exchangers. It is the standard behind almost every HX datasheet that names titanium tube.

• Covers Grade 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 23, 26, 28 etc.
• Two tube types: Type S (seamless) and Type W / WD (welded / welded-and-drawn)
• Defines chemistry, mechanicals, OD/wall/straightness/length tolerances, flattening/flaring/hydrostatic or ET requirements

B338 ≠ B861/B862 (general pipe). If your line is a heat-transfer tube, B338 is the right call.

Cut-to-Length Workflow (How We Keep It Clean)
