Key Benefits

  • Low oxygen Gr1 pure titanium, excellent ductility and low residual stress after 3D printing forming
  • Stable melting behavior, less spatter, good layer bonding for wire arc additive manufacturing
  • Outstanding chloride corrosion resistance for chemical and marine 3D printed components
  • Tight diameter tolerance, smooth wire feeding and consistent printing repeatability
  • Vacuum packaging prevents oxidation, suitable for long-term storage in AM workshop

Grade Description

Gr1 is unalloyed commercially pure titanium defined under ASTM B863, also covered by GB/T43302 for additive manufacturing wire. Gr1 features the lowest oxygen content and highest ductility among pure titanium grades. Compared with Gr2/Gr4, Gr1 avoids brittle risk after rapid melting & solidification in WAAM. It is ideal feedstock for large-size 3D printed corrosion-resistant equipment. Our Gr1 3D printing titanium wire is supplied to additive manufacturing EPC factories in Canada, Australia and Poland.

Product Features

Our cold drawn Gr1 titanium wire for 3D printing is fully annealed and pickled, packed under vacuum to avoid surface oxidation. Every spool passes dimension inspection and chemical composition test to strictly control oxygen, hydrogen and impurity limits. Gr1 titanium wire is widely used as feedstock for wire arc additive manufacturing of chemical vessels, seawater corrosion-resistant structural parts and custom industrial components.

Industry Applications

  • Additive Manufacturing: WAAM wire feedstock for large corrosion-resistant titanium parts
  • Chemical & marine industry custom 3D printed components
  • Additive manufacturing projects in Canada, Australia and Poland

Quality Assurance

Every batch undergoes strict inspection before shipment:

  • Full dimension tolerance inspection
  • Tensile & elongation mechanical property testing
  • Chemical composition testing for oxygen, hydrogen and impurity control
  • Material Test Certificate (MTC) supplied for full traceability

FAQ

Q: What is Gr1 titanium wire used for in 3D printing?
A: Gr1 low oxygen pure titanium wire serves wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM), for printing large corrosion-resistant titanium parts.

Q: Difference between Gr1 and Gr2 titanium wire for 3D printing?
A: Gr1 has lower oxygen and higher ductility, less cracking risk after rapid solidification. Gr2 is general-purpose pure titanium with slightly higher oxygen.

Q: Does this Gr1 wire meet 3D printing material standard?
A: Yes. It complies with ASTM B863 and GB/T43302 for additive manufacturing titanium wire.
