Custom Titanium Equipment Guide: Reactors, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Tanks — Built to ASME and Your Drawings
When off-the-shelf components are not enough, custom titanium equipment is the answer. Around 100 sets per year are built in our Baoji fabrication facility—from small autoclaves to 30-ton reactors. This guide explains the scope, standards, documentation and why buying equipment from a material stockholder changes the delivery equation.
Equipment Scope
-
Reactors and autoclaves: Jacketed, agitated, heated by electric or thermal oil
-
Shell-and-tube heat exchangers: Fixed tube sheet, U-tube, floating head
-
Distillation and absorption columns: Packed or tray columns
-
Storage tanks: Atmospheric and pressure rated
-
Agitators and stirrers: Shafts, impellers, mechanical seals
-
Titanium coils: Heating and cooling coils for existing vessels
-
Separators and knock-out drums
-
Pipe spools and manifolds: Prefabricated and hydrotested
Materials
-
Titanium Gr1, Gr2, Gr7, Gr12
-
Nickel alloys (Monel, Inconel, Hastelloy, Incoloy)
-
Zirconium on request
Design and Fabrication Standards
-
ASME Section VIII Division 1 — Pressure vessels
-
GB/T 151 — Shell-and-tube heat exchangers
-
NB/T 47003 — Steel welded atmospheric vessels
-
Client drawings and specifications
Documentation Package
Every equipment order ships with a complete documentation dossier:
-
Design calculation report
-
Material certificates (MTC EN 10204 3.1 for all plates, tubes, fittings)
-
Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Record (PQR)
-
Welder qualification records
-
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) reports: RT, PT, MT, UT as specified
-
Hydrostatic test report
-
Dimensional inspection report
-
Paint and coating report (if applicable)
Why a Material Stockholder Is the Right Fabricator
Most equipment fabricators buy plate, tube and fittings from third-party mills. When the mill is late, the fabricator is late, and you have no leverage. We are a material supplier first:
-
The plate in your vessel wall comes from our own stock
-
The tube in your heat exchanger is already in our warehouse
-
The flanges and fittings are on our shelves
-
Delivery date is not exposed to a third-party mill schedule
Single vessel capacity: up to 30 tons.
