Many engineering procurement projects tend to confuse pure nickel materials with nickel based alloy materials when selecting materials. Although both belong to the nickel based metal group, their performance, price, and applicable working conditions differ greatly. Simple distinction: Pure nickel is mainly used for alkali resistance, conductivity, and high-purity dielectric conditions; Nickel based alloys are mainly used for ultra-high temperature, strong composite corrosion, and high-pressure extreme working conditions.
Pure nickel (N200/N201/N4) has a single composition and high purity. Its advantages include strong alkali resistance, pollution-free medium, easy processing, and high cost-effectiveness. It is suitable for chlor alkali, lithium battery, and ordinary high-temperature alkali corrosion environments. Nickel based alloys (Monel, Hastelloy, Inconel alloys) add alloying elements such as chromium, molybdenum, and copper, which have extremely strong resistance to composite corrosion. They can withstand multiple harsh working conditions such as oxidizing acids, reducing acids, sulfurization, and high-temperature oxidation, and can withstand high temperatures up to 800 ℃ -1000 ℃.
Material selection suggestion: Choose pure nickel for ordinary alkali corrosion, electrolyte, and conductive structure; Nickel based alloys are selected for high temperature and high pressure, acid-base alternation, strong corrosion, and high-end energy equipment. Shaanxi Qianyi Tuoda is simultaneously laying out a full range of pure nickel and nickel based alloy products, and can provide professional material selection solutions free of charge according to working conditions, media, temperature, and pressure, to avoid equipment corrosion and scrap caused by improper material selection.
