Core Design Standards and Technical Specifications for Titanium Stirrers


Titanium stirrers are widely used in highly corrosive and clean working conditions such as chemical, pharmaceutical, new energy, and environmental water treatment. Their structural design, material selection, and manufacturing must strictly follow industry standards to ensure stable, safe, and durable equipment operation. Standardized design is the core key to adapting titanium stirrers to complex industrial conditions, extending their service life, and avoiding vibration deformation and corrosion failure.

At present, the design of titanium stirrers mainly follows HG/T 20569-2013 "Mechanical Stirring Equipment" and SH/T 3150-2016 "Technical Specification for Petrochemical Stirring Engineering", and also conforms to the general standard of GB/T 150 pressure vessels. The material follows the national standard of GB/T 3621 titanium plate, and high-end working conditions can be benchmarked against the ASTM American standard system to ensure compliance in the entire process of design, processing, and acceptance.

In terms of material design, TA2 industrial pure titanium is preferred for industrial general titanium stirrers, which are made of high-strength and highly corrosive titanium alloy materials suitable for specific working conditions. During the design phase, it is necessary to accurately calculate the corrosion resistance margin based on the acidity, temperature, pressure, and chloride ion content of the medium, in order to eliminate issues such as pitting and stress corrosion. The structural design strictly controls the coaxiality of the shaft body, with an installation deviation of ≤ 0.1mm/m, to avoid high-speed operation vibration, seal failure, shaft deformation and other faults.

At the same time, the titanium mixer needs to be designed with standardized blade type, shaft diameter, and cantilever length according to the volume of the kettle, mixing process, and speed parameters, matching different process requirements such as mixing, extraction, reaction, and homogenization. The welding process follows the welding specifications of chemical equipment, with smooth and defect free welds, high overall structural strength, and good fatigue resistance, meeting the requirements of long-term continuous production.
